For On Site Accomodation
1) Data protection
Haven & British Holidays are brands of Bourne Leisure Ltd. New Word Alive is an event organised by UCCF, or which Bourne Leisure are acting as agent. Bourne Leisure Ltd and UCCF (on behalf of New Word Alive) are notified (registered) as data controllers under the Data Protection Act 1998. Bourne Leisure will use the personal information that you provide to process your booking and provide your holiday. They will pass your information to New Word Alive.
You must inform other members in your party of the information about them that you are providing and what we will use it for. Information about health to enable us to assist with any special needs will be used only for the specific purpose(s) for which you have provided it. Bourne Leisure Ltd, and carefully selected third parties will also: use your information for internal statistical, market research and records purposes; share this information with other companies within the Bourne Leisure Group; use your information to contact you about other holidays or services brought to you by Bourne Leisure Ltd, or our trading partners. If you do not wish to receive such information please contact the Data Protection Office, Bourne Leisure Limited, 1 Park Lane, Hemel Hempstead, Herts, HP2 4YL.
New Word Alive/UCCF will use the personal information you provide to plan and evaluate their programme and to keep you informed about the event you are attending. They will not share your information with any other parties, but may occasionally contact you with details of other New Word Alive events, products or initiatives and/or information from their carefully selected partners. If you do not wish to receive such information, please write to the Customer Service Manager, New Word Alive, Willcox House, 140 – 148 Borough High Street, London, SE1 1LB.
2) Your Booking and Reservation
All bookings for New Word Alive must be made by telephone. The deposit of £60 per accommodation unit must be paid at the time of booking by credit or debit card or within 3 days of the booking by cheque, otherwise the booking will automatically be cancelled. When you receive your confirmation of booking if any details are incorrect please contact Haven & British Holidays Events Department on 0870 242 1111 or events@bourne-leisure.co.uk.
Payment of the balance must be made by 31 January 2008 and can be made by telephone to Haven Payment Line on 08705 411 411, or by cheque made payable to Haven & British Holidays and sent to Holiday Payments Department, Haven and British Holidays, PO Box 127, Hemel Hempstead, Herts, HP2 4ZX. Haven & British Holidays accept all major credit and debit cards.
3) The Holiday Contract
A contract between you and UCCF/New Word Alive with Haven and British Holidays (acting as UCCF/New Word Alive agents) is made when either of the following ‘booking conditions’ are met:
- Haven & British Holidays accept your booking and deposit payment by issuing written confirmation.
- When booking by telephone Haven & British Holidays inform you when your booking is confirmed.
The contract binds you and all the members of your party. It is your responsibility to ensure that all members of your party accept these terms and conditions of booking. Failure to disclose all relevant information or comply with these terms may lead to termination of the contract, and loss of the booking.
4) If you change your booking
Should you wish to make a change after your booking is confirmed, such as the type of accommodation, Haven & British Holidays will always try to meet your request. However, a charge of £20 per alteration will be payable. Changes must be made at least 8 weeks before the holiday start date and confirmed to Haven & British Holidays Events department us in writing or by telephone by the person who made the booking. Contact Haven Events as above.
5) If you cancel your booking
Should you wish to cancel your holiday please contact Haven & British Holidays immediately on 0870 242 1111 or by email to events@bourne-leisure.co.uk and they will advise you of the procedure. Cancellation will not take effect until we receive written confirmation sent by recorded delivery. If this is not received before your holiday is due to start no refund will be given.

6) If we make any major alterations to your booking
It may be necessary to make alterations in advance of your holiday, in which case Haven & British Holidays and New Word Alive will endeavour to advise you in writing as soon as possible. You will have the following option if Haven & British Holidays or New Word Alive make a major change to your booking:
- Accept the alternative arrangement as notified to you
- Full refund of any money you have paid
In the event that you are entitled to a refund, all requests for refunds made prior to 31st January 2008, should be directed to Haven Events immediately on 0870 242 1111 or by email to events@bourne-leisure.co.uk and they will advise you of the procedure. All requests for refunds made after 31st January 2008, must be directed to UCCF/New Word Alive immediately on 0207 407 5863 at New Word Alive, Willcox House, 140 – 148 Borough High Street, London, SE1 1LB.
7) Minor alterations
Alterations such as the withdrawal of certain amenities, facilities, activities and entertainment may be made by Haven & British Holidays or New Word Alive for reasons beyond our control without any obligation or liability.
8) Limitation of Liability
Bourne Leisure Ltd and New Word Alive accept responsibility for those arrangements of your holiday which are within our control but we cannot accept liability for any injury, loss or damage suffered by your or any other member of your party, unless one of the following applies. There was wilful default by either company, their employees or agents. Death or personal injury was caused by the negligence of Haven and British Holidays or New Word Alive, their employees or agents. For all claims other than death or personal injury, which result from the non-performance or improper performance of our contract, compensation will be paid that is reasonable in all circumstances.
9) Pricing
We guarantee the price shown and agreed on your invoice for your accommodation is the amount payable by you. All prices shown are inclusive of VAT at the prevailing rate. All accommodation is charged per unit.
10) We need to know
- Your name, address and contact telephone number.
- The names and ages of all members of your party. This is a legal requirement for Haven & British Holidays.
- Whether any of your party has restricted mobility or access requirements - see Disabled Guests section.
11) Health and safety
For the safety and well being of our guests, not all facilities are available to everyone and certain height and/or age restrictions apply. Proof of age: this may be asked for when buying alcohol on the Park.
12) If you have a comment
If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your break, in the first instance, please speak to the Team Leader/Manager responsible for the area concerned. If they are unable to resolve this issue, then please speak to Reception or the Guest Relations Team at the Park. If at the end of your holiday you feel that we have not dealt with your complaint satisfactorily please write to the General Manager at the Park no later than 28 days after the end of the event. Please write your holiday reference number on your letter and include daytime and evening telephone numbers. If you do not give us the opportunity to resolve the problem locally by reporting it to the Park, then we may not be able to deal positively with any complaint on your return. Any complaint must be submitted within 28 days to allow it to be investigated properly.
13) Care of facilities
Please treat your holiday property and park facilities with care so that others may continue to enjoy them. We ask that you report any accidental damage to Reception immediately so that we can make a repair or replacement. Accommodation is inspected at the end of every stay and you may be charged for any loss or damage.
14) Unacceptable behaviour
Haven & British Holidays and New Word Alive reserve the right to terminate a holiday without compensation where unreasonable or anti-social behaviour, caused by those person’s name on their booking, or their guests, impairs the enjoyment, comfort or health of other guests.
15) Infectious or contagious diseases
Guests must inform the Duty Manager of the occurrence of any such illnesses during their stay that may affect other guests. For the protection of guests and employees, anyone found to have such a condition may be confined or requested to leave.
16) Brochure accuracy
Every care is taken to ensure that all brochure information is accurate at the time of going to press. Photographs and artists impressions are illustrative only.
